General terms and conditions
These conditions apply to tours organized by Mi-Kondretours in Suriname.
General terms:
The tour agreement is effected through acceptation by Mi-Kondretours by fax, written statement or subscription by phone or any digital means by the customer.
The booking form needs to be complete and correct.Bookings can only be done directly at Mi-Kondretours.
The customer who does the booking for himself or for a group has to be an adult. Minors who want to participate need a written consent of their parents or guardian.
With the final booking of the tour the customer agrees to the general terms and conditions of Mi-Kondretours and will be jointly and severally liable for not living up to these conditions. This also applies to the person who makes a booking for a group or others. Mi-Kondretours cannot be held responsible when the customer infringes Surinamese law.
Prices:
Mentioned prices apply to 1 person with a tour participation of at least 4 persons, unless mentioned otherwise. With less than 4 persons, additional charges can apply.
Children up to 12 years old only pay 50% of the total sum and have to be accompanied by their parents or caretakers.
All prices can be subject to changes. Mi-Kondretours is entitled to make adjustments to the prices at any given moment.The customer will be informed in advance when changes in the tour package occur.
In case of circumstances beyond Mi-Kondretours control you can be accommodated together with other guests.Children younger than 13 years old will be accommodated with their parents/caretakers.
Discontinuation of the tour within the planned period of the tour is not regarded as a reason for restitution.
Payment:
Following payment terms apply when arranging a booking:
2 weeks or longer before the start of the tour: 50% of the total travel sum.
Within 2 weeks but not later than 1 week before the start of the tour: 100% of the total sum.
Last-minute bookings (i.e. bookings within 2 days before tour start): full payment at once.
When payment is not received within 1 week before the start of the tour, participation will be cancelled.
Prices are nominated in SRD, Euro’s (€) or US Dollars ($).Credit cards or cheques are not accepted.
You will receive an invoice within a few days after application.Payments can be done by bank payment.
Terms of cancellation:
In case of cancellation due to health reasons you have to provide a medical statement.
In case of decease of next of kin you have to provide a death certificate.
The costs of cancellation are:
2 weeks before departure: 50% of the total travel sum.
1 week before departure: 75% of the total travel sum.
Not appearing at the scheduled date of departure will cost you the full travel sum (i.e. 100%)
Restitution of payment by Mi-Kondretours will be within 5 working days.
The scheduled departure and the duration of the tour can both change due to external circumstances. The customer will be notified in such a case.
Health:
All tour participants have to be in good health.
Medicine use is your own responsibility.
Mi-Kondretours cannot be hold responsible for your personal health condition.
Mi-Kondretours cannot assess if a participant with health limitations can or cannot participate in a tour. In case of doubt you have to consult a medical doctor.
General:
Mi-Kondretours is entitled to cancel tours or to accommodate tours at other tour operators in case of insufficient participation or lack of transportation (or capacity).
Refunding of the total travel sum will take place in case of cancellation of the tour by Mi-Kondretours because of insufficient participation or circumstances beyond control of Mi-Kondretours.
Refunding will take place within 5 working days after cancellation by Mi-Kondretours.
Ignoring instructions of guides, escorts, boatswains, cabin personnel etc. and the consequences thereof are strictly your own responsibility. These consequences cannot be claimed against Mi-Kondretours.
Mi-Kondretours cannot be held responsible for the consequences resulting from errors in advertisement produced by third parties considering Mi-Kondretours or tours planned by order of third parties.
The tour participant has to insure himself at his own costs against liability, accidents, health costs and theft.
Mi-Kondretours is in no way responsible for above mentioned occurrences.
Mi-Kondretours can’t be held responsible for damage resulting from the actions of third parties like hired busses, boats or guides.
Mi-Kondretours cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the actions of individual participants, i.e. damage because of lack of communication, transportation and medical care amongst others.
Mi-Kondretours cannot be held responsible for damage or consequential damage caused by changing of flight schedules by the airline companies.
The person who made a group booking will be the intermediary for the other group members in case of them not living up to the mentioned conditions and terms.
Mi-Kondretours is entitled to refuse potential customers or to end participation of a customer to the tour.
Local Flights:
One has to show a valid identity when using any airline during a tour, when booking the flight and also at the airport.
A valid passport or identity card will be sufficient.
Maximum weight of luggage is 10 kg per person.
Every individual has to be weighed before departure.
Mi-Kondretours cannot be held responsible for any damage or consequential damage caused by the actions of airlines, their craft or third parties.
